Idea
We were told to make a maze and that it would be cut out on the Router. We used inventor to make the maze and make it transfer to the Fusion 360 software. To start I looked on the internet to see if there were any cool maze ideas. I didn't really find much that interested me so I just stuck to the normal idea of a maze.
Steps
To start I made a 11x8.5x0.75 platform to start my maze on.
I then made the channels and the design of the made and made it 0.25in deep. I then took that and transferred it to fusion 360. I selected 2-D contour and chose the bottom channel of the maze. I then did contour again and chose the outside edges of the maze to make it smooth. I then ran the simulation to see if that would work and it did. After got my G-Code for the router which is forest scientific and put it on a USB. I took it down to the router and put my Styrofoam in place and set up the 0,0. I then started the machine and let it go to work. |
Summary
This was kind of a review from the Mill because you used the same steps to just get to a different machine. One thing I did learn here is that there are different post process actions you can take because of the different machines and there for you got a different G-Code. Also I learned that the router is used for bigger projects.
